SatFish Photo Giveaway Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW.
1. Sponsor
The SatFish Photo Giveaway (the “Giveaway”) is sponsored by www.satfish.com (“Sponsor”).

2. Giveaway Period
The Giveaway begins on October 1, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. Pacific Time (“PT”) and ends on October 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PT (the “Giveaway Period”).
Sponsor’s designated system will serve as the official timekeeping method for the Giveaway.
Entries received before or after the Giveaway Period will not be eligible.
3. Eligibility
The Giveaway is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry.
Employees, officers, directors, representatives, and agents of Sponsor and its parent companies, subsidiaries, and affiliates, as well as members of their immediate families and households, are not eligible to participate.
The Giveaway is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
4. No Purchase Necessary
No purchase, payment, or SatFish subscription is necessary to enter or win.
Purchasing a SatFish subscription or any other product or service will not increase an entrant’s chances of winning.
5. How to Enter
Eligible participants may enter during the Giveaway Period using one of the following methods:
Post an original fishing-related photograph on Instagram and tag the official SatFish Instagram account in connection with the post.
The post must be publicly visible or otherwise accessible to SatFish during the Giveaway Period so Sponsor can identify and verify the entry.
Post an original fishing-related photograph on Facebook and tag the official SatFish Facebook account in connection with the post.
The post must be publicly visible or otherwise accessible to SatFish during the Giveaway Period so Sponsor can identify and verify the entry.
Email Submission
Submit an original fishing-related photograph by emailing your photo to social@satfish.com. The email must be received during the Promotion Period to qualify as an eligible entry.
SatFish Website
Submit an original fishing-related photograph through the official SatFish Photo Giveaway entry page at https://www.satfish.com/user-photo-contest/ and provide the information requested on the submission form.
There is no fee to enter using any entry method.
Entrants are responsible for correctly tagging SatFish when entering through social media. Sponsor is not responsible for entries that cannot be identified or accessed because of incorrect tags, privacy settings, deleted posts, platform errors, account restrictions, or other circumstances outside Sponsor’s reasonable control.
6. Entry Limit
Limit one (1) entry per person during the Giveaway Period, regardless of method of entry.
Submitting the same or different photographs through multiple entry methods will not provide additional chances to win.
Duplicate, fraudulent, automated, incomplete, or otherwise ineligible entries may be disqualified.
7. Photo Requirements
Each photograph submitted as an entry must:
- Be related to fishing, boating, anglers, catches, marine life, or the fishing lifestyle;
- Be an original photograph created by the entrant or a photograph for which the entrant possesses all rights and permissions necessary to submit;
- Not infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, intellectual property, or other right of any third party;
- Not contain unlawful, defamatory, obscene, threatening, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate material; and
- Comply with applicable Instagram and Facebook rules, terms, policies, and community standards when submitted through those platforms.
If another identifiable person appears in the photograph, the entrant represents and warrants that they have obtained any permission necessary to submit the photograph and grant the rights described in these Official Rules.
Sponsor reserves the right to determine whether an entry satisfies these requirements and to disqualify entries that do not comply.
8. Permission to Use Submitted Photographs
By entering the Giveaway, each entrant grants SatFish a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, repost, crop, resize, edit, adapt, and otherwise use the submitted photograph for advertising, marketing, promotional, editorial, website, email, social media, digital, print, and other commercial purposes, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
This permission includes, without limitation, the right for SatFish to use submitted photographs on SatFish social media accounts, www.satfish.com, digital and print advertising, email marketing, promotional materials, videos and other digital content, and other SatFish marketing channels.
Entrants will not receive additional payment or compensation for these permitted uses.
The entrant retains ownership of the original photograph.
Where permitted by applicable law, entrants also grant Sponsor permission to use and display the entrant’s name, social media username or handle, caption, and other information voluntarily submitted with the photograph in connection with Sponsor’s permitted use of the entry.
Each entrant represents and warrants that they have the legal right and authority to grant Sponsor the rights described above.
9. Random Winner Selection and Odds
The winner will be selected at random. The quality, subject, or composition of an eligible photograph will not affect an entrant’s chances of winning.
Following the conclusion of the Giveaway Period, Sponsor will randomly select one (1) potential winner from all eligible entries received during the Giveaway Period.
Subject to these Official Rules, each eligible entry will have an equal chance of being selected.
The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
The random drawing is expected to take place within approximately seven (7) days following the end of the Giveaway Period.
10. Prize
One (1) winner will receive:
One (1) year of SatFish membership.
Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $129 USD.
There is one (1) prize and one (1) winner.
The prize cannot be redeemed for cash and may not be sold, transferred, assigned, or exchanged for cash.
Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control.
The winner is responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes associated with acceptance of the prize.
No fee or purchase will be required to claim the prize.
11. Winner Notification
The potential winner will be contacted using the information associated with their entry.
For Instagram or Facebook entries, Sponsor may contact the potential winner through a direct message or other communication sent to the social media account used to enter.
For website entries, Sponsor may contact the potential winner using the email address or other contact information submitted with the entry.
SatFish will never require a winner to pay a fee or purchase anything to receive the prize.
The potential winner may be required to verify their identity, age, residency, eligibility, ownership or authorized use of the submitted photograph, and compliance with these Official Rules before being confirmed as the winner.
The potential winner must respond within five (5) business days after Sponsor’s first attempt to contact them.
If a potential winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within the required period, is determined to be ineligible, fails to provide reasonably requested eligibility information, or otherwise fails to comply with these Official Rules, the potential winner may be disqualified and Sponsor may randomly select an alternate potential winner from the remaining eligible entries.
A potential winner is not considered the official winner until Sponsor has verified eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules.
12. Prize Delivery
Once the winner has been verified, Sponsor will provide instructions for activating the winner’s one-year SatFish membership.
Sponsor will make reasonable efforts to award the prize promptly following verification of the winner.
13. Publicity
Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to announce and use the winner’s name, social media handle, submitted photograph, and general geographic location, such as city and state, in connection with announcing and promoting the results of the Giveaway.
14. Privacy and Email Communications
Sponsor may collect personal information from entrants in connection with the Giveaway, including information provided through the SatFish website or otherwise necessary to administer an entry.
Personal information collected in connection with the Giveaway may be used to administer the Giveaway, verify eligibility, communicate with entrants and the potential winner, award and deliver the prize, prevent fraud or abuse, exercise the rights granted with respect to submitted photographs, and comply with applicable legal requirements.
Information collected by Sponsor will be handled in accordance with Sponsor’s applicable Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws.
By providing an email address and submitting an entry, the entrant agrees to receive promotional, marketing, product, fishing-related, and other email communications from SatFish.
Entrants may unsubscribe from marketing and promotional emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in those communications. Unsubscribing after entry will not invalidate an otherwise eligible Giveaway entry or affect an entrant’s chances of winning.
15. General Conditions
By participating, entrants agree to comply with these Official Rules and Sponsor’s reasonable decisions concerning the administration of the Giveaway.
Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify an entrant or entry that Sponsor reasonably determines violates these Official Rules, contains false or misleading information, was generated or submitted fraudulently, infringes another person’s rights, attempts to manipulate the entry or random-selection process, uses automated methods to enter, or interferes with the fair administration of the Giveaway.
If fraud, technical failures, unauthorized intervention, social media platform failures, internet outages, or other circumstances beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control materially affect the integrity or proper administration of the Giveaway, Sponsor reserves the right to suspend, modify, or terminate the Giveaway to the extent permitted by applicable law.
16. Release and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, entrants agree to release and hold harmless SatFish, their parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents from claims arising out of participation in the Giveaway or the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of the prize.
Nothing in this section excludes, limits, or waives liability or other rights that cannot legally be excluded, limited, or waived under applicable law.
Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, inaccessible, corrupted, misdirected, or unsuccessful entries resulting from technical problems, internet connectivity, social media privacy settings, platform outages, incorrect account tags, deleted posts, or circumstances beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control.
17. Instagram and Facebook Disclaimer
This Giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, or Meta Platforms, Inc.
Instagram, Facebook, and Meta Platforms, Inc. are not responsible for the administration of the Giveaway or fulfillment of the prize.
Participants entering through Instagram or Facebook must comply with the applicable platform’s terms, policies, and community standards.
By participating, entrants acknowledge that they are providing their information and entry to Sponsor and not to Instagram, Facebook, or Meta Platforms, Inc.
18. Governing Law
Except where prohibited by applicable law, these Official Rules and matters concerning the administration of the Giveaway will be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
19. Disputes and Limitation of Remedies
Except where prohibited or restricted by applicable law, any dispute, claim, or cause of action arising out of or relating to this Giveaway or the awarding or use of the prize shall be resolved individually and not through any form of class, collective, or representative action.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, any claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs reasonably incurred in connection with participation in the Giveaway, and entrants waive any right to claim punitive, incidental, consequential, special, or multiplied damages.
Nothing in these Official Rules limits, excludes, or waives any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited, excluded, or waived under applicable law.
20. Winner Announcement
Following verification of the winner, SatFish may announce the winner through www.satfish.com, SatFish social media accounts, email, or other SatFish communications, subject to applicable law.
21. Acceptance of Official Rules
By entering the Giveaway through www.satfish.com, Instagram, or Facebook, each entrant acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to these Official Rules, including the provisions concerning Sponsor’s permitted use of submitted photographs.
